Translation: One rather excitable young gentleman advanced upon the scene in a state of marked agitation, whereupon his counterpart received what can only be described as an unsolicited and rather unfortunate blow. The master of the form then intervened with admirable promptness, separating the combatants and declaring, with that weary authority peculiar to the teaching profession, “Boys, that will quite suffice.”
Nevertheless, the assembled company persists in its low murmurings: the fellow in question, they insist, was conducting himself with all the theatrical menace of a final adversary, teetering upon the brink of a most spectacular collapse of composure—discreetly, of course. One must concede they do not exaggerate. The entire episode was thoroughly irregular and open to the gravest suspicion… and yet, by some inexplicable alchemy, it rather succeeded.

my kid is almost in hs and has never been asked to write a 5 paragraph (intro/3-body/conclusion) essay, ever. handwriting is terrible and written responses to questions are embarrassingly basic.
they give them erb exams every year and the only area of decline over time is in the writing/language portion, he's otherwise 98/99% in math/logic/science/etc. this is at a k12 that sends ~10% to ivies/stanford/mit and 40-50% to 'T20'-type of colleges. idk, maybe they really dial it up in hs, but i remember handwriting little essays and shit probably by 4th or 5th grade.

According to this teacher: No, they’re illiterate. Not stupid, but unable to use the written word. https://x.com/kprc2rilwan/status/2087631055905800471?s=46
The superintendent literally responded to this viral video by saying, “that sounds right.”

Imho we are basically watching evolution in action. Having kids learn liberal arts just turns them into Losers. Being an extremely retarded piece of shit or an Engineer or Acing OCI are the credited paths.
We all know what happens if you try to be a Normal Educated Bro who can write Good Paragraphs. Society completely spurns you. It makes you ill-fitted for dealing with a society filled with stupid assholes & OCI people. If you try to be Normal you’ll just get fucked over. The Loser zoomer who writes well probably gets cyber bullied like you wouldn’t believe and graduates with a Ruinous GPA.
