Really wanna quit my $80k job, finish up bachelor's

I have off every Friday this summer and it has just been too difficult to ignore how beautiful life is when you have the entire day to yourself. It even extends to the quality of your weekends, when you don't have to cram a million things to do in 48 hours with Monday morning dreadfully looming in the background.
Ultimately, I would like to go into the business services industry in an entrepreneurial capacity. To that extent, I don't think a degree matters much given my background (I'm a headhunter/consultant) and connections. Nevertheless, getting a degree is a box I want checked.
I was thinking of getting a BA/MA in Philosophy from Queens College while living in a small studio in Forest Hills. I would buy a used Prius and just live the life. Class for a few hours a day, four days a week, and spend the rest of my time doing whatever I want. Going running outdoors, swimming, biking. Traveling every winter break for a three-week study abroad to some place in Africa or Asia. Learn another language with all of my free time. Chase girls.

I've since come to the conclusion that I don't, so this seems like a viable alternatives that satisfies many of the same goals especially if I use much of my free time productively to make connections and learn a language. In theory, it'd be nice to think that I could do a BA/MA in Physics (which they also offer) but that would probably require a lot of time. Maybe BA/MA in Computer Science makes sense too. |

Hit it off with the president of a small legal recruiting boutique and he gave me a job because he liked me. I was working as a litigation paralegal at my dad's practice since HS. Flunked out of CUNY once before too because I stopped going to class.
Since then I got a job as a researcher for a Wall St. executive search firm and now I work as a headhunter there, recruiting for senior-level front office positions. |
