The fact that a smaller percentage drives is irrelevant - nearly everyone takes autos or rickshaws, so they're part of road traffic as well. Plus, in India theyr'e less likely to get medical care. Overall, as far as fatalities are concerned, they're better.
They're up there wrt smaller, "fender bender" type acidents though. |
