Cuckoldry is the logical endpoint of beta supplication (i.e., beta for aspies). No Nietzsche, but betas use submissive displays as a coercive tactic. REO Speedwagon, probably the single greatest band of the modern era, illustrates this violent irony in their hit single, "Keep on Loving You." I'll confine my remarks to the lyrics, although future researchers may want to explore the harmonic echoes of Bach and Wagner, as well as the potent archetypes found in the music video.
"Keep on Loving You" begins with an accusation. "You should have seen by the look in my eye, baby..." etc. The beta male, afraid of direct masculine expression, uses female intuition as a weapon. He can't lead the relationship, so he foists blame onto the woman. The words get progressively more violent, until we reach the cuckold point: "And though I know all about those men, still I don't remember..." Notice that unlike the true cuck, the beta isn't even willing to acknowledge his desire for the bull. He pleads amnesia. There's also the clever verbal trick of eluding whose men these are. Normal heterosexuals probably think the woman has cheated, but the ambiguous lyrics leave open the interpretation that the beta is a closeted faggot.
The lead up to the chorus is just fucking brilliant. "And I meant every word I said..." No, he didn't. Listen carefully. "When I said that I loved you, I meant that I loved you forever." Like the pigs in Animal Farm who tack nasty conditions to their laws, the beta's avowals always carry an implied proviso, entirely of his own making. "Forever" is the word he didn't say, but it's the word with which, like an avenging Fury, he'll saddle this poor woman for the entire song.
At the chorus, the narrator blossoms into full-blown obsession and insanity. He refuses to sleep, he has only this singular obsession. REO Speedwagon stretches Dante's cliche to its uttermost limit.
Unlike most songs that try a new stanza between choruses, "Keep on Loving You" repeats it to the end. Because there is nothing after obsession for the beta male. He can only softly fade away.

The "love" is obsession and completely ironic. I hate to plead music video here, but bro, music video:

Like a typical leftist prole, you're vaguely associating stuff you heard from dudes who read a Wikipedia article and smearing pseudo-Lacanian bullshit to hide your tracks. The fact is, you have the wrong song. You're thinking of "Take It on the Run", where the narrator's careless take-it-or-leave-it attitude is more compatible with promiscuity.

"[Genius] cannot indicate scientifically how it brings about its product, but rather gives the rule as nature. Hence, where an author owes a product to his genius, he does not himself know how the ideas for it have entered into his head, nor has he it in his power to invent the like at pleasure, or methodically, and communicate the same to others in such precepts as would put them in a position to produce similar products. (Hence, presumably, our word Genie is derived from genius, as the peculiar guardian and guiding spirit given to a man at his birth, by the inspiration of which those original ideas were obtained.)."

they specialize in cuck songs.
Heard it from a friend who
Heard it from a friend who
Heard it from another you been messin' around
They say you got a boy friend
You're out late every weekend
They're talkin' about you and it's bringin' me down
But I know the neighborhood
And talk is cheap when the story is good
And the tales grow taller on down the line
But I'm telling you, babe
That I don't think it's true, babe
And even if it is keep this in mind
[Refrain:]
You take it on the run baby
If that's the way you want it baby
Then I don't want you around
I don't believe it
Not for a minute
You're under the gun so you take it on the run
You're thinking up your white lies
You're putting on your bedroom eyes
You say you're coming home but you won't say when
But I can feel it coming
If you leave tonight keep running
And you need never look back again
[Refrain x3]
Heard it from a friend who
Heard it from a friend who
Heard it from another you been messin' around
