Normal to get down payment from house from parents/grandparents?

Date: May 4th, 2025 6:26 PM Author: Talking Sneaky Criminal Hall I had no help from parents either did my wife. We had to buy our first home during Covid. It was a two bedroom trailer basically converted into a house. $136k. We then sold it this year for $260k and bought a nice townhouse for $475k.
I make more than my friends yet they all had huge houses they bought around and before Covid. No way they afforded that. Or are they crazy and overleveraged?
I have no problem with people who get money from parents but it’s annoying when they act like they’re better. |
