Great Grandma pissed away over 2 million before she died

Then her husband died and she filled her time buying shit from home shopping network & catalogs. She'd also give tons of money to friends & acquaintances. When she died they went through her house and found tons of unopened packages all over of things she bought & stashed away. Nobody in the family really seemed bothered by it like oh thats just our quirky grandma. I think she cleaned out the rest of her savings living in expensive assisted living until she died

Unless there was some indication that grandma was mentally unfit to be making those decisions or was being unethically swindled in some way (I don't see that alleged in the OP), there's absolutely nothing wrong with her deciding that she wanted to parse out big money gifts to the special people who made her own time on this Earth more enjoyable while she was still alive, and then acting accordingly. Maybe OP should have done more to make himself one of those special people in her life if he wanted some of that money?
