around 10 or 11 oclock two more cops drove down. we assumed we'd been spotted. but decided to just lay low down by the waves anyway. the cops started doing apparently a routine type patrol. walking along the shore, using their flashlights. so we laid there very silently, trying not to move. finally one cop got to about ten feet from us. shined his flashlight directly on us. we were between the water line and the cop. i was a bit nervous and when the flash light hit me i cracked a bit. so i stood up, and said SORRY to the cop, trying not to scare him. but the cop just turned his flashlight and continued walking. i didn't know what to do.... so i laid back down.

there is no way he hadn't seen me. it's almost as if it was some sort of simulation glitch. or a hologram of a cop. as though i'm in some computer program, and the beach cops were there for appearance only. they were not designed to be interactive. it was truly surreal. so much so that i don't know if it even happened.
