Rowan has been slowly working her soulless ginger voodoo behind the scenes IRL for months now in order to exact revenge on BS for being an annoying, immature and self-absorbed bitch. She apparently "encouraged" (cuntishly cajoled, no doubt) mutual friends not to attend BS's functions even though they continued to attend Rowan's - and BS, being neither blind nor stupid, began to recognize this curious pattern and sought confirmation as to the cause from an "inside source" (an undetermined frenemy of Rowan's who gleefully ratted her out.)
[Sidebar: In her defense, Rowan was almost certainly justified in being annoyed at BS - she is one of the most selfishly self-absorbed people I have ever encountered in any capacity, and I'm sure that she managed to rub many of these mutual acquaintances the wrong way all on her own.]
BS began to passively aggressively make comments and drop hints about all of this to Rowan over gchat/IRL/etc., and "accidentally" ended up turning some minor disagreement into a full blown dispute *the day before* Rowan took the bar for the new sTTTaTTTe that she is moving to.
[Sidebar: Rowan was definitely not fired from her NYC job though! NNN!]
Rowan became furious at the ridiculous selfishness and childishness of this ultimate low-blow bitch move and only intensified her efforts to cut BS out of her life like a malignant tumor.
This all came to a head, as girl-fights are apt to, in a seemingly unrelated context. Yesterday, BPM - one of these aforementioned mutual acquaintances - made a thread asking BS whether she was "mad" at her for not coming to a few meetups. BS responded by saying that she was and that they were no longer friends - because the meet-ups that BPM missed were all suspiciously the ones that had been arranged by BS - and accused her of intentionally attending only Rowan's meetings in as many words.
[Sidebar: BPM's excuse for not attending BS's meetings was literally that she "had to do laundry" and "had nothing to wear." (rudolph) (BPM)]
Rowan interjected to defend BPM (no doubt feeling guilty for having used her considerable feminine wiles to influence poor, simple-minded BPM) and told BS that she was being "ridiculous" and "paranoid" - and that's when the gloves really came off. BS immediately dropped all pretense to civility and icily noted that Rowan was the ONLY one on the board who hadn't congratulated her on her UVA full ride offer... and suddenly the true nature of the monstrosity known as "female friendship" was revealed in a massive sub-thread shitstorm, replete with MULTIPLE third parties chiming in to say that "now that you mention it, BS always seemed to like Rowan a lot more than Rowan ever seemed to like BS IRL," etc. to stir shit up even more.
And with that, the board's most famous six year long friendship - a friendship that featured Rowan actually inviting BS to come sleep on her couch, rent-free, for an indefinite period of time at one point - came to a messy, public and thoroughly enjoyable end.
