Drunk Driver Jon Schoenwetter accepted to JAG. Surprising?

I am in the class of 2007, and I have the honor of knowing this Ms. Erin LaFarge.
Here is her story: She is a white girl that checked the "African American" box on her application to Columbia because some ancestor of hers was from the Carribean. Needless to say, she got the ridiculously large AA benefit that black females get. Once she got in to Columbia, she didn't do so hot.
On her resume and in her firm interviews, she made it very clear that she wanted AA bonus in hiring for being "African American" - at least one firm famously called her out on it in a VERY harsh manner (Simpson Thatcher).
I guess people dont like a white girl that tries to play the black race card.

Yes.. this is of course the best part.
She interviews with a young associate that is actually AFRICAN, like straight off the boat from Zimbabwe or somewhere. It somehow got brought up in the interview that she considers herself African-America, so he proceeded to tell her: "Just becuse your Ancestors RAPED SLAVES does not make you black."
I kid you not. The "your ancestors raped slaves" line is priceless... I don't expect people to believe me that somebody actually told this to someone in an interview, but I kid you not that it happened. Perhaps other CLS people can back me up.
