It's about as relevant as any other course you might take in law school. If you think you might enjoy the subject and/or like the prof, go for it.

I think doing a comparative law course could also be useful if you end up working at a big law firm, where you'll often work for international clients or on cross-border deals. The comparative law topics themselves won't be useful but it can be helpful to have the terminology/background/concepts down to understand what's going on or explain the US system to intl clients.
