There's outliers, but I've found this to be an incredibly common pattern.

People who are successful in life think the world is complicated and don't have all the answers. Every policy choice is a trade-off, path dependence is the key, they at least have a basic understanding of moral philosophy, etc. Every broke person is convinced they have all the answers, the leaders of this world are just fools for not listening to the trailer park welfare parasite. Bonus points if they """hate""" the government and their entire lifestyle revolves around collecting government benefits.

That's part of it, but I think there's a bit more to it than that. Getting good at something and becoming successful requires obtaining a proficiency of some kind-- starting off with maybe a little natural talent, but bad. Then learning how much you don't know, then gradually learning it and seeing how improved you are with practice. Some people conclude they're now good at everything (doctors are notorious for this) but most are able to apply this logic to other things and understand that there's a lot they don't know about the things they haven't put the time and work into.

This experience never happens for fools, because they never get good at anything. Their entire life is just bouncing around from one low-skilled job to another and not learning. They never mastered any skill, so they don't know what mastering a skill is, so they assume everything is as easy as whatever they do for a living (say, being a line chef at a chain restaurant).

yeah there are some smart people who end up with goofy worldviews because of living in extremely sheltered and curated environments, but for the most part the accuracy of a person's understanding of the world just correlates with IQ like everything else involving thinking

America's taxation system is very progressive, the rich and UMC fund the government. If you're looking for parasites, they're the ones on SNAP. Libs get furious that the people who fund the government aren't getting soaked even harder but don't blink an eye when parasites just live off the federal treasury.

How are you not getting this. The point is that somebody who can't fix their own personal problems (broke, incel, etc.) probably also can't fix the world's problem. What are the odds that some bro who can't bed a chick secretly has the key to Middle East Peace

its not like those with their lives in order actually know any better when opining about random shit on the internet, and people who are very successful generally give less of a shit about their personal lives and are not particularly great fathers and such anyway. this is just something that sounds like it should be true because you want it to be

I feel like this is just false but idk how you would "prove" it. obviously when considering advice you should weigh heavily the reliability of the source
