BEWARE: you are going to work like you've never worked before at this sweatshop. I already hate it. Biggest lie they ever told me was that it had "better hours than the other V5 firms." What utter bullshit: the security guards that work the shift after midnight already know my name.
My classmate warned me about this in law school, but I thought it was just unique with her. Knowing that they only have to pay you that magical $145K, these partners work you like crazy.
Screw big law. Screw my hours. Screw STB. I'll type out the stories later, I'm going to sleep now. |

What sucks is when people are not humane about it (or if they themselves aren't willing to be held to the same standards). Its all about leadership/people skills... But when people are pricks about it, it is psychologically 100X harder to take. So, pick your practice groups and your partners/associates wisely.
