mobs are repetitive, maps can be difficult to navigate, and the entire third act is just plopped down with no direction. suffers from most turn based rpgs where if you do any of the end game content the final boss gets one shot, but if you don't do any of the end game content you miss out on huge parts of the story.

Traditionally it’s probably the easiest genre of games. Iirc even the oldest JRPGs aren’t difficult for their day. They are made for a low-T audience that doesn’t like challenges imo. |

Expedition 33 is a game that became part of the “your move, AAA 😏 “ narrative. I’ve never seen anyone acclaim its gameplay or anything. It just has a prominent place in the meta narrative. If you care about the state of gaming and are enjoying watching Ubisoft crash and burn then you’d probably enjoy it from that pov. The msrp upon release, you ask? $50. |
