You also changed your argument from "well educated people in NY don't marry lawyers" to "lawyers only marry other lawyers", this is quite a contradiction, unless you want to argue lawyers are not well educated.
I simply said that they marry well educated people, and my evidence to back this up is the NY Times wedding announcements--you will generally not get printed unless both spouses are well educated/prestigious. |

It's extremely easy to hook up. There is a very small subset of girls who can meaningfully distinguish between lawyers and finance types, of course girls can distinguish btw people making 160k a year and 1mm a year, but the people in finance making 500k+ are less than 2% of the male NYC population, and there are way more women then men.
That's not to say that most biglawyers won't fail horribly at dating in NYC, but it won't be because they're in biglaw. |

Even in MFH, lawyers and doctors have by the far the easiest time with co-op boards and club memberships. Everyone "hates" bankers and traders too, yet most people don't seem to mind their kid bringing one home.
