Mitt Romney can't call himself a self-made man but Bill Gates? OF COURSE!!!

Gates built his company from scratch. But his family was rich and he was able to get access to one of the first computers in America as a high school student in his private school. Can you say he was self made? Yes. But did his parents wealth help? Yes. So we shouldn't be so quick to say the rich are where they are only because they are smart and hard working.

Did I say that? I'm pointing out the idiocy of claiming that he is self-made when he is, in fact, not self-made.
Do you think the sole reason Romney is where he is is because of his intelligence and hard work?

I don't. His intelligence and his dad were both responsible. It is nuts for anyone too say he was self made.

Holy shit, are you incapable of reading? Where did I say that hard work and intelligence had nothing to do with Romney's success?
I am saying that he would not have been as successful without his father's money and connections. How the fuck do you think he was able to avoid the draft, you faggot?

I'm saying he isn't purely self-made—his dad helped him out, he had teachers and shit who helped him out. So going after Obama for saying that no man is an island is just bullshit.

Using the same standard you used for Romney, Bill Gates is NOT a self made man. Obviously the fact that Bill Gates father was wealthy, could afford to send Bill to private school, could afford to purchase a computer when they were exceedingly rare, could afford to pay for his sons college education, could afford to loan money to Bill to start up microsoft would disqualify him from being a self-made man UNDER YOUR OWN DEFINITION.

Gotcha. So you have no thoughts of your own. Do you agree with this?
"There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me -- because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t -- look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.
"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
"The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.
"So we say to ourselves, ever since the founding of this country, you know what, there are some things we do better together. That’s how we funded the G.I. Bill. That’s how we created the middle class. That’s how we built the Golden Gate Bridge or the Hoover Dam. That’s how we invented the Internet. That’s how we sent a man to the moon. We rise or fall together as one nation and as one people, and that’s the reason I’m running for President -- because I still believe in that idea. You’re not on your own, we’re in this together."

His position is very simple:
You are applying your definition of self-made inconsistently between Romney and Gates and are trying to be a little snake about covering it up.
He does not have to have a personal position on the matter of Romney and Gates being self-made or not in order to criticize your horrible logic.
You also do not know what the term "intellectually dishonest" means.

So two guys with no thoughts. How refreshing. That said, not really sure why I said Gates was self-made. Do you agree with this:
