I'll never be able to find it because it was months ago and I have no idea what thread it was in, but I saw one such interaction between short quotemo and bloodacre. I think I even asked bloodacre whether he heard back from short quotemo. I had also provided my throwaway in that thread, right below bloodacre's, but short quotemo ignored me.

So not only do I know that bloodacre is lying through his teeth when he pretends he didn't know about the slack (and goes along with short quotemo's lie that the slack used to exist but now is no more), but I suspect he's actually a member of it, based on this interaction.

I don’t care if Bloodacre is a veteran here; I can’t respect a demonstrable liar. Being good in other respects is not a free pass for inexcusable behavior.

Bloodacre has essentially repeatedly lied under oath (he had a metaphorical gun to his head yet lied through his teeth). Let’s say someone killed your mother. Would you have to meet them in order to throw a “temper tantrum” about them? If they were a “veteran among veterans” on a board, would you care?

If I were Bloodacre’s boss, and I found out about his demonstrable lying here, I’d tell him to get out of my sight. I’d say take your things, you’re done here, and I’m too disgusted to look at you again.

Now, I have an outstanding offer open to Bloodacre to bury the hatchet if he decides to take the honest route. I doubt he will take it though, seeing how comfortable he is with deception.

1. For many months, short quotemo used XO to create and build up a secret slack.

2. If you wanted to get in, short quotemo made everyone complete an extremely vigorous application. Chandler posted it last night, but a rogue mod removed it:

3. Short quotemo threatened all members with severe retaliation if they ever discussed the existence of the slack on XO or “anyone affiliated with XO.” See here:

QUESTIONS NEEDING AN ANSWER:

1. Is the group unanimous is trying to maintain the secrecy of their club? Doubtful, considering short quotemo created it and is the one warning people they’d better not discuss it here.

2. Which mod is deleting posts exposing the slack?

3. Why did Bloodacre lie to my face about the slack’s previous and continued existence? Especially considering he is likely in it, for reasons I previously described. Wants to support his family?
