Gout - I have to take allopurinol in hopes of warding off another flare; mobility issues do arise from time to time; hydration is incredibly important--not just water but electrolytes too. Just becoming dehydrated is enough to trigger a flare. My wife did take me to the ER once where they took fluid from my knee and gave me morphine for the pain because my presentation of gout has never really been the classic big toe variety. I'd say this drags down quality of life by 10%.
Cocktail of CPTSD, MDD, GAD - This one has been persistent and has cost me several jobs, promotions, chances at maeking it. I used to try and self-medicate, but now I'm getting outside help and that makes a big difference. I'd say these drag down quality of life by 80%.
Class III Obesity - This is the albatross around my neck. It's impossible to ignore and its comorbidity with the others should not come as a surprise. Drags down QOL by 50%.

You can get knee replacements and such, but I do tend to agree. However, sitting for prolonged periods or doing other things are also bad. Humans were designed to run and if you are a Believer of Big Science, evolution has favored us running long distances to tire out big game we used to hunt. Anyway, I enjoy running because: I get fresh air, I listen to sounds of nature on the trail, it's healthy for my heart and lungs (even if it is damaging to my joints), I can challenge myself, I can see new sights and discover hidden new places if I were in a car I'd have just driven by, and it's a fun way to explore new places if I am in a different city for work.

prone to tendonitis all over my body. right elbow has been fucked up since March and is just starting to get better, same thing happened to left one in 2024 with the same timeframe.
left wrist got fucked up when I bladed a wedge in 2015 and hasn't been 100% since then. I actually went to a dr for that one and had to yell at the PT gook to make me a molded brace that I still use from time to time. they just wanted me to do bullshit therapy.
various parts of both feet are prone to tendonitis and I have a boot from 2020 that I've used multiple times over the years. wearing dorky sketchers instead of mocs/boat shoes has helped a lot with that.
Have a metal plate in my collarbone from when I was 16 and thought I was better at skiing than I actually was. It still hurts if you press on it. Once a stripper pulled me forward and had me motorboat her bolt on tits and I couldn't enjoy it because she pressed her thumb right on the plate and it was painful.
I get toe cramps all the fucking time which sucks shit for like 2 minutes but then goes away.
when I was 12 I had what I thought was an Achilles tear because it hurt like motherfucking hell, but it was just tendonitis and the dr didn't do shit for it. took like 3 years to fully be back to normal.
also had Osgood Slaughters as a kid which was manageable until you had to get out of the car after football/basketball practice and realized your knees didn't work and you needed a cane/putter as a 14 year old to make it up the stairs.
