In terms of QoL it’s worse than most other cities its size and more comparable to a smaller city like Cleveland or Omaha, ie there are cool things you can find and if you put effort into thing-doing and making friends and/or dating you can build a decent life there, but it is a pretty boring place to live generally speaking. The Keep San Antonio Lame shirts were so perfect. |

The people there are a level of prole that XO cannot comprehend. I doubt the average person there has even ever heard of Harvard college let alone could tell you what it was. It is one of the most salt of the Earth lunchpail type of places you'll ever go. Fancy restaurants fail because no one likes stuff that's too pretentious.
There is a reason why people pay out the ass to live in Austin. Partly the inherent beauty of the hill country it's the nicest place in Texas by a mile. But more importantly it has some semblance of culture and worldliness you couldn't find in San Antonio if you dedicated your entire life to finding it. |

Houston traffic is a nightmare. There is just no comparison. But lets just say you work from home.

North San Antonio is pretty. Austin is shit until you get toward the far west side in terms of aesthetics.
You are literally 5 minutes away from Neiman Marcus to buy $100 T-shirts and there is every kind of big box globo amenity that you could ask for within 15 minutes.
Great golf course < 5 minutes. You could probably walk to it if you wanted to. World class deer/axis hunting within 45 minutes. Get in a share of a lease. The real pretty part of hill country like Utopia within an hour. Rivers within an hour or less. Gardner State Park - about an hour.
There are a lot of lower class Mexicans in the city, but you get all types. A lot of "coconuts" (brown on the outside, white on the inside) in San Antonio. And as I said, plenty of solid white bitches still up north. 45 minutes from Bandera which has a cool little music scene (all White; but can be an older/married crowd). Get over to Canyon Lake with some buds in 45 minutes. |

West Austin has way more shitlibs and blue hairs. North SA/Comal County is the conservative version of Austin. The only true downside is you don't get Dat Intellectualism. Again your eyes will glaze over with extreme boredom at every conversation UNLESS you are prole too then it doesn't matter. |
