quite frankly,
yes. i quit after 400 problems. i've done a lot more adaptibar and read a bunch of state specific shit
now i'm pulling 70+% on the mbe
im more worried about the state essays now

quite frankly,
adaptibar uses all the 1400 or so questions from the actual NCBE
most of them are easier than what you'll see on the MBE, but some of them are pretty hard, and everyone I've talked to says the format is identical. It would be pretty stupid if the format WASN'T identical, because they are questions that were actually on MBEs in the past.
adaptibar also figures out what subtopics you suck at and then focus more questions in those areas while throwing you a bone occasionally in the ones you're good at

quite frankly,
like 600. i pissed away a lot of time doing AMP, which is like 1500 useless definitional questions
my average on adaptibar was pretty low (62%), but that was because it was asking me 2x more questions in subtopics i suck at and leaving out the ones I'm good at
I took the 2011 NCBE online practice exam and got a 74%, which scaled to like a 158, because the number of each question type is more fairly apportioned and I'm overall in much better shape than I thought
state essays, however...

that AMP shit is time consuming. i did it for a couple subjects and i don't think it helped. though at this point we're at the saturation level where it feels like we know everything and nothing at once, granted.
barbri is kind of flame for assigning 2 hours of this experimental new AMP shit per day in this last week, when (for CA at least) we could be writing 2 practice essays in that time and getting more out of it.
dislike that they are using us february bar takers as AMP guinea pigs. i wonder if it will stick around. THAT SAID i do think AMP is going to be good as an eleventh hour refresher for the MBE topics. i may use it for that.

quite frankly,
I will say, the AMP refresher setup (get 1 right, mastered, get it wrong, have to answer it twice in a row like you slogged through before) is better than the original AMP system
I scored quite well on a practice exam and switched to just doing AMP refresher to see if I know the law, and I'm honestly burning through it, 90 min or less per full subject.
The flame part of it, though, is that I learned the fucking law from Adaptibar more than I did from anything in barbri, and I'm just using AMP to quiz myself now that we're 1.5 weeks out from the MBE.
It is, quite frankly, completely useless for anything else, and I hope they retire it.

quite frankly,
I'm doing the AMP refresher thing (I did all of AMP in december), and it's actually surprising how many I'm getting right in mere seconds per question. 95+%
I really learned all the concepts, however, from the 1000+ mbe practice questions I did from january to now...not from doing AMP in december.
it's total flame

i'm lateraling in another state and only got off work after the first week of feb. (after billing 200+ hours in january), so i've had to cram everything into these 3 weeks. have no fucking idea what the paced program calls for, but i've listened to all the lectures, gone over a friend's outlines, done MBE problems (was performing like shit until yesterday; now i'm pulling 70-85% on all subjects except for evidence, which is still raping me; plan to wrap up substantive MBE studying tomorrow) and then turn my attention to the state subjects.
it won't be pretty, but it's been done.

looked at the NYMC yesterday for the first time and the NY practice stuff was insane. was getting half right after fully reviewing lecture handouts.
have you seen the level of detail required for essay questions about wills, corporations, agency, domestic relations? and random shit like no fault insurance can require just an insane level of recall
good luck bro, but just lol
