Date: October 24th, 2021 11:21 PM Author: Titillating dull locus shitlib For me, it’s not a dream as much as it’s PTSD from actually not going to class and having months and years of anxiety about not going to class, and teaching myself entire courses in the week before finals, and barely dropping a class just before the deadline, but not being certain that I dropped it, and putting off a 30 page paper that I needed to write to graduate until the last 3 days of school, and so on.
Do people who didn’t do all this and went to class and did their work in an organized manner still get haunted by the same dreams? |

Often in my elementary, junior high, and high school courts, sometimes with people from my school popping up, often co-ed. I can often dunk quite well in these games and really get above the rim.
In high school I was nowhere close to dunking. In my early 30s I was getting close (several inches above the rim, enough to throw down a tennis ball), but I had a bad knee injury in a pickup game (surgery etc) and that put a stop for a long time. Late 30s, after not jumping, doing anything explosive, just lifting for many years, I was shocked that out of the blue, I had a decent vertical and could almost touch the rim, so I started plyos. Eventually got to where I could dunk a small basketball, and I had bought these shoes (the only ones that actually work in helping your vertical) and was going to train with them to put me over the top:

Somehow my knee got completely trashed again though. After a particularly tough plyo session, I had to make a 5 hr drive to a big mediation, got little sleep that night, sat in conference room all day, then 5 hr drive back. The knee was just never the same again.
So these dreams are obviously the culmination of those failed ambitions. |
