I think a lot of men who are 20+ virgins just haven't figured out how to approach/pursue sex, where to find it, how to ask for it, and how to ensure that the answer is yes. Most men can't even get casual sex (much less at any level of standards) because they have no game, and relationships are unpredictable and show up at unexpected times... or not. Virginity up to about 24 can be explained by a mix of respectable but unusually conservative personal choices and 2-sigma bad luck. After that, it's usually a bad sign. |

Who women married was usually determined by the needs of her family, and she didn't exactly have the clout to demand a male virgin. In today's society, I've met women (usually of a conservative religious bent) who have said they prefer male virgins. I think it's pretty gender-symmetric.

Haha. The M:F ratio is about 5:1 in the math department, and most sciences are around 3-4:1. So the competition is intense. You don't go into graduate school expecting to meet a girlfriend in the department. Moreover, the women who are looking for relationships in grad school are usually looking for 24-26 year old men, and often to get married. I'm 22 and not nearly mature enough to be thinking about marriage. |

He wanted to introduce me to everyone, and wanted to take pics of us together... we never had sex, but I did oral a few times because I felt bad for not doing anything with him, and did like him. But now I'm paranoid because he has my pics, and I am considering politics as a future career as well (after law school.) It was a really stupid decision, but I'm paranoid that he might be showing my pics to people (even though I trusted him enough that he wouldn't... but he *really* liked me.) A few months ago he even e-mailed me to get back together again, about a year after we first dated.
Is there anything I can do, or just hope he doesn't show anyone? He wasn't very attractive, but in that period I was a bit depressed and just wanted to date someone as well.
