if you go to a shitty school (non-t14), there's probably nothing that can be done to salvage the fact you missed out on LR. |

I'd be happy with anything 100k+, frankly. Not too hung up on Biglaw. I worked in V10 for a few years before LS, and know people there, so I will prob. at least get a screening interview at that firm. Otherwise, FML probably. |

you probably don't want to hear this, but you're not going to get 100k ITE. if i were you, i'd gun hard for some gov't jobs that pay a little less but offer a decent QOL. i'm guessing you'll have a slight edge on those since a lot of people in your situation are in denial and refuse to believe they aren't getting V20.
otherwise just save yourself the pain (and debt) and drop out. |

My ultimate goal is to work at a prosecutor's office, and you are right - gov't is the way I was leaning anyway. It would just be nice to pay off these ridic. 8%-ish loans before going into gov't work.
Whatever. I am still going to network like crazy and see if I can get a decent position somewhere. My position is bad but not tragically so - my work experience is phenomenal, I have no undergrad debt, and a good scholarship at T20.
It's just sad that prior to ITE, I would have a good shot at V100 with my credentials, but now it looks like I'll have to scrape by with something much, much worse. :( |
