Suburban kids regularly get together to play sports or go to the mall or whatever. Rural kids most just talk to each other on their phones all day. And sure, there are shitty suburbs, but even the worst suburbs around here are paradise compared to the rural areas. Nobody's parents are married. If the kids are lucky, they never see their mom because she is working two jobs trying to survive. If they're not, their parents are in prison, trying to score their next dope hit, or dead. One kid I worked with made the soccer team but had to quit because his mom was always at work and nobody else would drive him to practice. So now he just sits at home playing Fortnite.
