This is what i dont get about the defenders of the current system.
We already have medicare. So the people who consume the most expensive healthcare by far, get free healthcare.
We have medicaid. So the people who don't work or contribute, get free healthcare.
Then the rest of us have to have healthcare tied to our insurance, which now has a deductible of like $9,000 and an out of pocket max of $10,000 - which you almost certainly will hit because the hospital will charge you $50,000 for any issues - just to make sure that you have to pay (the they cut a secret deal with your insurer).
So the poor and the elderly get completely free care, and people who work and pay for healthcare just get fucked.
