I called up the associate that drafted the document and really layed into him. He jumped right on a flight back from his family vacation in Hawaii to deal with it. He was a straight-shooter, but just didn't have the gumption to make it at our firm. A few years later, he invited me to his third wedding, so I think it all worked out.
But the good part of the story is that I was able to call in another associate to pull an all-nighter and right the ship. He had those sections consistent as a mother fucker and ready on my desk when when I came it at 10 AM the following day. Good kid... Mitch, Mike, something like that...
At least we got it fixed before Hawaii-boy even landed back in NY. He only spent a few hours in the office before he was able to jump back on a plane and rejoin his family in Hawaii |
