It is basically "free" knowledge (she simply wouldn't have it otherwise). What I found is that you learn a ton of vocab but that it will only "gel" with real world use. My first day trying to speak Spanish was rough. Day 2 it started to gel and I realized that I knew much more Spanish than I expected. Is my Spanish anywhere near perfect? Absolutely not but it is purely the product of a few minutes a day and it got me through living in Mexico where most people speak 0 English.
