Modeling is a performance and ongoing investigation into my identity, gender, and creative process. I have been shot by hundreds of artists and friends throughout the U.S. and Europe, often for those specializing in nude photography, portraiture, and analog techniques. I have posed for emerging and mid-career artists and had images published, sold, and exhibited.

WORKING WITH ME

Since 2005, I have been modeling for both strangers, friends, students, and professionals. These days, I am most interested in the studying therapeutic possibilities of body/performance-based art and documenting my travels and creative evolution.

I gravitate toward physically and mentally challenging artistic endeavors in pursuit of a better understanding of my body, creative impulses, and fears. I crawl and climb, cower and prowl, contort and creep, squeeze into the most confined of crevices. Left to my own devices, I’m happy to improvise, letting spontaneity dictate the results, but if you prefer, I can also sit still, pose, and take direction.

If you’d like to hire me for a specific idea, my compensation is negotiable depending on concept/location/levels. Models assume risk and discomfort, but do not own the product of their labor at the end of the day, so please compensate us accordingly. Send me your project details and I’ll send a rate.

I am happy to accept barter. I’ll model in exchange for all kinds of useful or wondrous goodies: cameras/film/equipment, art supplies, books, classes/workshops, prints + arty things, notebooks, good karma, important life lessons, etc. For trade, I’m fond of working with students, nomads, and other models - I find collaborators based on intuition/coincidence and prioritize projects that can be published or exhibited.

I travel to New York, LA, San Francisco, Amsterdam, and London a few times a year. I leave Germany about once a month and plan my schedule with 4-5 weeks notice, so send me a note to get the ball rolling …
