Police Officers (Entry Level)
$76,248 - $94,896 annual salary (top step in Jan. 2007 will be over $100K). The City Participates in 3% at 50 Public Employee Retirement System. Employees may contribute up to $15,000 each year to the Deferred Compensation Plan. Premium pay of 5% is provided for Field Training Officers and bilingual officers. Additionally, the City provides $1000 annual uniform allowance.

Santa Clara is better. Less actualy crime to deal with and a nicer neighborhood and weather.
those 3% pension things are the sweetest deal in the world though.
