They grew up with YouTube, so the phenomenon existed in some sense and many of their greatest heroes (Taylor Swift, Bieber, etc.) used YouTube to profit off their phenotypes and lowest common denominator appeal. And they were in their teens and 20s when social media took over the culture and they always felt and still feel entitled to dominate it. This is why you see so many millennials who are enraged by TikTok and onlyfans. They intuitively understand the platform and audience mechanics that are required to become famous and wealthy for just being a shameless, self-absorbed slut, and they are absolutely YSFF mad that they were born 5-10 years to early to be a part of it.
