Let's run with that thought for a little while: The entire premise of your poast is that I should be wageslaving and accumulating for when shit goes down. What, exactly, should I do with matched contributions to my 401k? I can't convert that to physical gold or silver, and I wouldn't be able to easily convert that to food or knowledge. What's the point if shit hits the fan? Instead, I've amassed my own hoard of gold and silver, I've developed skills necessary to survive, and I'm extremely confident that I'd be the only person here who'd be able to thrive in the event of a massive depression. We all poast about the looming economic horrors we're almost certain to face, yet I'm one of the few who's taken my meager middle class upbringing and actually developed the skills necessary to survive. Maybe it's all for naught, and I will surely be made a laughing stock if that's the case. But I do believe in self-sufficiency by whatever means necessary. Whether that be through beekeeping or cooking or coding or, ljl, lawyering, who fucking cares? I'm happy and that shouldn't bring you down. |

I have a close friend who is an engineering genius who seriously could make a zillion fucking dollars. I think he could have been an engineer for Boeing or something. But instead his parents bought him a small business and every year he loses money and they bail him out. It's just play pretend, not real world.
My dad is a high level wage cuck but in his youth he actually started businesses which eventually failed, and I asked him what all he learned from trying and failing. He said if you wake up every day trying to make the best product you can, you will fail. But if you wake up every day and think how do I make this company profitable you will be very successful. All the companies that drove him out of business had simple stupid ideas that made a profit from day 1 while his companies were bloated and tried to pack in too many features. At least he had the decency to go in house after being an entrepreneur didn't work.
I woke up too many days in my life trying to be great or do something special that had never been done. It turns out I would have been better off pursuing riches. Everyone wants to be their own boss and be some kind of entrepreneur but it's not as embarrassing as people think to be a phenomenally well compensated white collar wageslave. And more often than not the corporate climber come away better than the entrepreneurs. You only hear about the success stories you never hear about all the people who didn't make it. How many folks like TSINAH are there just kicking the can down the line in some half assed manner. Better off going to work for the man and having more to show for it. We all dream of being that guy but not many people really are. |
