I pointed out that (for example) 59 members of the Senate have JDs (which presumably but not always means not MBAs). so, GWB notwithstanding, it looks to me like DC is still run by lawyers. his response? "if you think they run DC you're mistaken. their staffs do."
I think this is a bullshit argument anyway, though I can't find any stats on congressional staff per se. http://www.senate.gov/reference/resources/pdf/RS21379.pdf is the best link I can find... can anyone else do any better? It seems like the "rich" types of people in washington would mostly be entrepreneurs anyway, not MBAs. |
