Date: November 13th, 2020 12:32 AM Author: Excitant offensive giraffe i was obsessed with harry potter as a kid. dressed up as hermione multiple times for halloween. not sure if i'd let my kids read the books. i started reading them in like first or second grade and they helped turn me into a voracious reader which i think was great for me in the long run. not sure how comfortable i am with the sorcery in the books though. JK Rowling should have just let her characters be rather than shoehorning contemporary virtue ethics into a child’s story whose primary appeal was an escape for readers from reality. |
