They may say that your career is tied to your GPA. However, your "self-worth" is what you are worth to yourself. No one who does not know you personally would make a claim as to how you evaluate yourself.
Furthermore, the fact that your self-worth isn't tied to your GPA isn't particularly meaningful. Why do I care how you measure yourself? Let's say I consider your GPA to be the most important representation of your personhood. Do I care that you do not evaluate yourself in this way? Were I to disagree with you, I would simply look at you with a sneer and condescending ridicule. |
