Fucking asshole. I saw that earlier and the first thing that comes to mind is that he should write a column about how murdered people are lucky because they never have to deal with stuff like divorce, disease, and other unpleasant things in life. The fact that he and some other tools work in biglaw when they should have done something else is fantastic. Really. But I'm not sure how it affects those of us that got fucked by ITE and actually liked working in biglaw.

Fish, you didnt like the work. You liked the idea of it, whatever prestige you randomly assigned it and you liked the money. You are a fucking striver troll, so you cannot imagine doing anything else (because that wouldnt satisfy your striver ego) but quit pretending you actually liked it because of the "fascinating" work.

Paying for $40K/year for law school has always been laughable and never a rational choice. What magical things happen inside those walls that cost so much? Nothing. Universities know there are a lot of polisci shitheads that don't want to be Starbucks baristas and see Drew Rosenhaus living it up on ESPN. The government guarantees those loans so you can really stick it to 'em. It's an amazing cash cow.

Lawyers don't add much value and are overpriced anyway. What's really needed for those who purchase legal services (ie the clients, the people who matter the most in all this) is for costs to go down. If this is indicative of less demand, then in the long run, its probably a great thing, because legal expenses can come down significantly. Outsourcing of legal work is also great b/c it can drive costs down and increase competition among law firms here.
