Severely discouraged :(:( failed 3/3 of the Barbri Essays..

doing fine on the MBE, about 65-70% on the practice sets, usually safely above the targets
i did pretty well at a top law school, wtf?? my friends are passing the shit out of these but i'm the only one failing. what should i do? call barbri and ask them for extra help? |

people that have taken this exam and passed have told me i'm fine. babri fails a lot of people in the early essays to encourage studying, don't freak out |

Date: July 2nd, 2009 8:40 PM Author: floppy field boiling water I'm batting 1/2 in the passing department (though the one I failed-- evidence-- I am fairly sure wouldve received a "passing" score on the real exam; they were VERY nit picky.
One thing to consider: at my class location, MANY people are quite happy to talk about how they took 1.25-1.5 hours on a question and then went back and added stuff after because "they couldn't take a 'fail.'" Its ridiculous because it destroys the usefulness of the exercise, but I bring it up because it may explain why "everyone else" around you is passing. |

so what you are saying is that people are taking these practice essays under "test conditions" and turning them in like a month and a half before the exam? what a waste. july is the month you should be memorizing, you are just going to forget it by the time of the exam. |
