I guess I'm just a pragmatist as far as criminal justice is concerned. The US spends way too much on this crap and incarcerates more people than any other country, which is nuts. Its not like he's a serial rapist, and its not like the victim is pressing for action (on the contrary, she wants this to go away), so it seems like spending money to fly him to the US, try him, and imprison him for years, all while the French are constantly protesting seems unnecessary.
