As lower thresholds, those are reasonable. But even if you're above these thresholds, it may be a pretty good idea to drop out. For example, a 3.05 at Penn who lacks ties to a secondary market (e.g., from NYC) has a slim shot at landing anything decent (defined as midlaw or better) and should therefore strongly consider dropping out.
