I sometimes don't like the hours but I legitimately enjoy my job (M&A, 2nd tier market). I think the work is interesting, but I think the job is tolerable because I've started establishing some boundaries (will not work past midnight more than 2x per month, exercise 3x per week, etc.).
Maybe think about lateralling to another firm with better QOL after your second year. |

don't quit. instead, make your job more tolerable.
if you hate the long hours, start leaving at 6:30. start refusing to take on new assignments. don't answer the phone when the dickhead partner calls.
it will probably take them a year to fire you, during which time you can be looking for another job.
if you quit, you don't even get unemployment. |
