Also, blacks from HYS almost always have a 3.5+/165+, yet I don't see them in smalllaw or midlaw. |

Fact of the matter, 'g' is an arbitrary restriction (like it is in most fields barring theoretical physics) on a field that could be performed adequately by an orangutan with a copy of a Nolo book and a suit.

There are exceptions in IP/patent law and other things that involve subject area knowledge, but law is mostly accounting with bigger egos and less job security. |

some URM lawyers do end up going to midlaw, in-house, or prestigious government. those are the ones who were likely qualified to get into a good law school and good firm initially anyway |
