All it took was a cakewalk over Denmark, followed by a bloodbath against the UK for Hanover. That one didn't go quite as planned because both Netherlands AND Belgium intervened on the UK's side. My navy was destroyed in the process and i barely managed to pull out a sort of Pyrrhic victory by dislodging Hanover's Satellite status under the UK (though it remained in the UK's sphere of influence...). Fortunately the diplomats were able to subsequently pull Hanover into my sphere.

Both Austria and France are getting nervous at the newly formed Germany's strength, I can tell. Fortunately, Austria is in the middle of a meat grinder against the Russians, so it seems an opportune time to swoop in, occupy Vienna, and demand concessions. Still, France is always worrisome with its huge army. Maybe i should take and fortify Alsace Lorraine while the Austrians are preoccupied? plus this is all complicated by the fact that last month i completed the railroad tech and can finally begin laying my RR network across germany. Perhaps war should wait until I've built up infrastructure?

Then there is the issue of colonization. All I have currently is the Danes' old foothold in the Carribean, St. Thomas. I've rebuilt a sizable navy, so maybe it is time to steal some tropical paradise from one of my euro rivals? Or perhaps I should join in the scramble for Africa? Yea, I think I'll kill me some niggers.
