Most people with the grades to get a flyover district clerkship could get big regional law anyways. |

But it all depends on the judge, and I'd probably take it over some rural, lightly-regarded district-court clerkship just for the novelty value. If anything, it would get extra points because of the novelty, like you said, and also because people would perceive that it is a "destination" clerkship and hence face more competition than it would ordinarily (like Hawaii). |
