A hippo cannot be killed unless you get at its throat. A Hippo can decapitate another animal with a swipe of one of its teeth. I dont think any animal can get close enough to do damage. |

anyhow, I saw a special with 6 lions attacking a hippo on land, and the hippo pwn3d them all. he didnt kill any of them, but they couldnt get near his head, and could slow him down with 3 of them riding his back. |

In the wild, a rhino's best chance of winning a hippo/elephant fight is to charge its opponent and scare it off, taking the initiative in the fight.
All the hunter has to do is fire some shots to get the rhino's attention. The rhino charges right at them in a straight line, and gets felled by a volley of shotgun wads. |

I saw a crocodile fight a hippo and the croc grabbed the hippo and dragged it under water. hippos can only hold their breath for 5 minutes, crocs for an hour - so the only way is to drown the hippo.
under water, the croc had the hippo by one is his legs, dragging him down, the hippo caught the croc by his flailing tail and bit off the fucking tail with one swipe. you see the hippo released and the croc swim away with about 3 feet of his tail missing. |

Basically, they had a big lead tube with some sensors. The Great White completely mangled the lead tube and they couldn't get any reading. So they filled the tube up with some metal balls and jammed it inside a cow. The Great White still destroyed the tube and they just gave up trying to measure its bite. I think Jaws could take out a hippo with his bite alone as long as there is a decent depth.
