Chicago firms know the smartest kids are at UChicago, no doubt about that. When it comes to best overall associate material, however, they are more likely to go to Michigan and Northwestern. The kids there are obviously smart enough to do the work at a high level yet don't have the downright social paralysis that plagues UChicago. I will say this though- UChicago outnumbers NU and Michigan at Mayer Brown and Sidley. Not sure about Kirkland which is the top dog.
The non-aspie achievers at UChicago basically have their pick of whatever firm they want and will have boatloads of success in life. The aspie-ness of their classmates make these kids look like Bill fucking Clinton. This is not a large percentage of the class.
