no the pacers put no pressure on Detroit by driving to the hole and getting the wallace boys in foul trouble. Jermaine O'neal wasn't his self. They lived and died by the jumper, this wont happen to the heat.

seriously. this is the sure sign of a man who has been rendered unintelligible by the presence of a large penis in his mouth. in this case, it clearly belongs to the entire pistons organization.
the spurs may beat the heat. the pistons will not.

Suns, for now. I hate Ray Allen, I hate the Pistons, I don't want the Heat to win, and I don't want the Spurs to win. So basically, the winner of this series, even if it is Cuban's boys.

Yeah right now I will be rooting for whoever gets outta this series although it will be hard to root for the Suns if they beat the Mavs but I will do it. If the Sonics win, a BIG if, then I may root for them if the Mavs are bumped. I'm surprised you hate Ray Allen he seems like a nice guy. Haha, I visualize Ray Allen when I play basketball and have to make free throws.

Ray Allen is in that Kobe category (pre-Colorado Kobe) where people think he's a nice guy, but in reality is a dick. Most guys in the league seem to hate him and with reason...he's just an arrogant guy. Possibly the prettiest shot in the game, but just a dick.

I think the next series will mirror the Det-Ind series.
Miami will come out flat and Detroit will "steal" game 1. Then Miami will get in gear, Wade will shoot the lights out, and win game 2. Detroit will come home cocky and too relaxed, and lose game 3. Suddenly, the whole nation starts bashing on them and counting the days until Shaq gets his next ring.
Then, Detroit will get pissed off and start playing Piston basketball and proceed to reel off 3 straight, as Wade struggles to get 15-20 in all of them. Bring on the Spurs.
P.S. I'm looking forward to seeing "quality minutes" from Darko. I can't decide whether he will have more points or fouls in the series.

the heat are way more talented then the pacers and the pistons don't match up well with them. to think that the series will fall the same way is ignorant at best.

Yes, the Heat are more talented than the Pacers.
But Detroit is a more talented team than Miami and I don't see why the series can't fall the same way. Miami's team this year is not really any different from last year's Laker team as far as "matchups" are concerned. And this time, Shaq isn't even healthy.
Billups will PWN Damon Jones (his former backup), Rip will run all over the place on Eddie Jones...and who can guard Prince? Certainly not Wade. Haslem is going to get schooled by Rasheed. I think the Pistons match up quite well.

the pistons do match up quite well the key matchup is Prince vs Wade. If Wade can somehow find a way to make Prince's length and defense less effective, i think Miami will do well. Also, Mourning is a huge factor in this series, and Laettner and Doleac provide some offensive diversity coming off the bench. i'm taking Wade over Prince, and the Heat in 7 games.

The good thing Prince has going for him is that he can score zero points and still be effective if he plays good D on Wade, whereas Wade needs to be huge at both ends. This also is provided they put Prince, and not Rip or Billups on Wade...

Yes. And the advantage Detroit has is all 5 of their starters are above average defenders. Moreover--Billups, Rip, and Prince will all take turns guarding Wade and thus Wade, for the first time this year, will have to face 48 minutes (less what he rests) of relentless defense. Not to mention the energy he'll spend trying to defend himself. The Pistons' wings are all interchangeable on the defensive and offensive ends.
As for Laettner and Doleac...what?!?! I agree Mourning will play a pivotal role--likewise for McDyess for the Pistons. Fact is, Miami will need Wade AND Shaq fully healthy, playing their best games, to beat Detroit.

4 of the 5 Pistons starters are above average defenders--Rip is average only on his best day. I agree that the three of them will take turns guarding Wade, along with Lindsey Hunter.
As for the rest of the post, I think you're lumping me with some other poster, I don't think I've ever trumpeted the accomplishments of Laettner or Doleac.
