i know very few people who have lived in both new orleans and other another city who feel that new orleans is a quality place to live. the people who love it are either natives with no perspective, or libpedo college freshman chicks who move down there for tulane/loyola having sold themselves on some mythical concept of the city.
it's a sweltering, crime-ridden shithole full of fat people and toxic waste. the tourist-trap french quarter and a few restaurants are worth a weekend visit. with those elements removed, new orleans truly is the armpit of america. |

If you exclude shitty small cities like East St. Louis, then I would probably have to say Detroit, with Cleveland coming in a fast second. But that's a bit more debatable. |
