Illinois had 93 SAs this year in 9 selected Chicago BIGLAW firms. Illinois also has a class of 225 law students. That means of just 9 selected firms (admittedly, a good portion of Chicago BIGLAW and Illinois' target market), 41.3% of the Illinois class is represented. Adding in the few who go to NYC, DC, whatever, we're looking at something like half of the University of Illinois going into BIGLAW. That seems insanely high. |
