However i think most men can be empathetic of someone who is in OP's position even if most would agree that the cheating was probably a bad idea from the start. OP has given a pretty accurate assessment of why he went elsewhere and something that men everywhere can relate to.
The ridiculous part is that even though it's universally accepted that women are crazy among men, women themselves have a hard time accepting the fact that they would actually all be insitutionalized if we didn't like banging them.
I mainly do divorces for a living, mostly high dollar but some standard divorces too as those pay the bills and I can't tell you how often women paint themselves as the victim despite the fact that their testimony and interactions with us show that they're are psychotic bitches and the men are essentially saints for putting up with it for so many years. 65% of the time it's the women with no job asking for the divorce, then brutally fucking the man in court for spousal support and assets, after being a complete bitch for decades. With some exceptions men are generally fairly reasonable and eager to settle. Unfortunately, we often represent women, but you take what comes through the door. |

anyway you are wrong from your first sentence. the point is that xoxo guys are insanely insecure about being cheated on, so they flip out when anyone discusses male cheating.
they try to paint it as being about morals and fidelity but they don't care when it's a guy cheating because this isn't the stuff of their worst nightmares (see this thread, where people are defending the guy and saying they feel sorry for him and whatnot)
