Arranged marriages last longer, make people happier.

Mature people don't "fall out of love" because they don't live at the mercy of their neurochemical cycles. Unfortunately, the best years for fertility and reproduction do not correlate with maturity, especially in women.
Arranged marriages were a solution to this. By avoiding the "peak experience" of romantic love, you gave people time to pair-bond. |

These days women expect to marry prince charming, have a perfect (and expensive) wedding, and then have a husband who constantly entertains and adores her for the rest of their lives. Inevitably this falls short, she ends up unhappy. Because women also think they're heroes for cooking once a week and otherwise think they have no real responsibilities in terms of pleasing their husbands, husband also ends up unhappy. Particularly since women tend to decrease shit like sex compared to pre-marriage and increase nagging exponentially. Then society doesn't place pressure on couples to work shit out so they just get divorced. tl;dr - everyone ends up unhappy. In arranged marriages the opposite is true. People just hope the other person isn't fucking awful. That's a low bar so more people end up happy. Plus because they're arranged by families if there are issues both sides put pressure on the couple to work things out.
Fortunately, I married someone who is nothing like this but I bought her so you know, it worked out well. |

It only works cause you have ppl indoctrinated from birth into thinking that is the only alternative. They never date at all, never have any other form of communication with the opp sex, so arranged marriage is the only alternative. Then once they get married, they are trained to never get divorced no matter how pathetic shit gets.
Overall, it is the type of shit that robots, or Indians, would excel at. |
