You mean to diminish the importance of IQ by calling it merely something measured by "standardized tests". You could do that with anything, though. The ability to dunk a basketball or earn an income sufficient to provide for your children can be measured by certain standardized tests, too, right shitlib?
The point is that this particular variable, IQ, is predictive of functioning well in society. And we spend billions on endeavors, like education and immigration regulation, that presume IQs are not correlated with race or ethnicity. If they indeed are, we should redesign these enormous social programs to take this into account.
If flowers won't grow well in January in Chicago, the city shouldnt pay to plant them then. Or it should plant them indoors, etc. |

at the higher end, the US must invite and actively court the highest achieving scientists and engineers no matter where they're from. if you go to the best STEM graduate programs in the US, they're full of foreigners because americans don't want to work that hard. if the us doesn't let these people work and become citizens of the US the country will be left behind. |
