(1) I came from a huge firm doing "business litigation." You absolutely have to pay your fucking mor5gage so you need a baseline of hourly coming in to finance th end contingency shit. If you dont you will implode like my first firm did. The sad fact is that money started to roll in 36 months from the time the firm started, and we had broken up by then and hated each other and then were left fighting about fees. That sucked, but are fatal flaw was ignoring paying work in favo4 of contingency and th3n our families all starved. Do something where you can demand hourly or flat fee be it business lit, criminal, estate, etc;

(2) neve4 be solo. If you cannot find some dood, preferably older, who is willing to work out an agreement with you then you should just get out. You arent connected enough or liked enough to do this;

(3) always have a goddamn office that is decent, business cards of the highest quality and someone at said offic3 when you arent;

(4) dont pay a gaoddamn thing for offices. You should know some older asshole who owns a building or a long term lease who will trade out for minimal work in exchange for an office, conference room, internet, fax and phone. If he tries to jew you for more than 1k a month for that he is fucking you in the ass;

1. Women dont like me so I have no family or wife. I just have me living in a shit apartment and not having much of a life so my expenses are low. I have enough saved that coasting for a year just trying to make this worth it not even a big deal.

3. Fuck the office. It would be nice but what a waste of money. Id rather spend that on ads. I just have a virtual office and rent conference rooms by the hour and it tends to work fine. Also business cards are 1980's no one looks at that shit even when u give it out.. the internet is where its ad.. i literally was doing 80 bucks a month in google ads at one point and geting 4-5 calls a day

(6) try fucking cases. As many as you can, lose them all if you must. This still gets you massive cred. Something like 85% of lawyers never try a case. If you do you will always get referrals;

(7) winning a case is even better. Try to do that. And finally, and most importantly, while you are still a kid;

(8) never fucking ever let a client intimidate you or otherwise fuck with you on the bill or anything else. I dont car3 how scared you are of you r fuck up. I dont care if you are worried about a bar complaint. Client loses a case half the time they will try to fuck you. Never care. Ever. Treat it like that abusive litigation letter from opposing counsel.

but agree about trying cases. that is the last thing i really need to get some experience in and even if i lost once i do it once it will make it so much easier and fuck man, juries are crazy so its not a bad bet
